RETO should be considered today a major social work and a respected NGO because it plays an important role in society in general and especially in the effort of helping drug dependent persons. However, we want to emphasize that, what is really important and the only thing that is worthy of being acknowledged, is the fact that there is nothing that we can have or do in order to help others, except what God has already done through His Son for many of us. This is the root, from which all that we want to do. That is our real motivation. After having been operating for some years now, we want to go on with the same purpose that RETO had in the first place - that is, bringing a message of truth, hope and life to lost humanity, not only in drugs and delinquency, but also in politics, humanism, religion, science and so many other things that lead men to put their trust in something besides God and the purpose He has for their lives. Confidence in governmental systems and the wisdom of men, who deny and try to nullify the principles established by God in His Word, will lead the world more and more into confusion and chaos. That is why we in RETO want to keep on with our confidence in God and take the Bible as our guide, since it contains all the answers that a person needs and that his Creator has given to him. order to give His life to save everyone who believes in Him, the political system of that time, represented by Herod, tried unsuccessfully to end His life, claiming the lives of thousands of innocent children in the attempt. We should not blame God for what man is doing against himself by refusing to believe in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and by turning his back on Him. To go against Jesus and His Word, like Herod, wanting Him to stay out of our society, out of the laws that govern us, out of the way that we educate our children, out of our lives and homes will just bring about an increasing moral and spiritual decline and, consequently, our own destruction. Jesus, the Son of God, was born, died and rose again, fulfilling in this way the perfect plan of salvation that had been announced thousands of years before. There is nothing and no one that could prevail against it and there will be nothing and no one that will be able to prevent even one of His words from being fulfilled; we have that word, the Bible, at our disposal. “The day that RETO moves away from these fundamental truths is the day that RETO will have lost its real saison d’etre”. Any kind of help that is not able to make man see the purpose, for which he was created and the freedom that this truth brings to the life of the one, who experiences it, is in vain. |
