As a reintegration project, RETO Co-operative Company was founded in 1992, formed mainly by people that have overcome drug addiction. This project professionaly trains the users by offering them the opportunity to learn a trade and to enter the labor market. Apart from this professional aspect, it also touches the personal aspect by challenging their personal development in areas such as responsability, discipline, and team work. The main activities performed by the co-orporative society are: - Furniture removals - Cleaning floors, warehouses, offices, etc. - Repairing and selling second hand cars - Woodwork, metalwork and aluminium frames - Restoration of vehicles - Cattle farming In 1995, Reto began a dairy operation and little by little it has consolidated into an occupational workshop, as well as another source of income. Some of our cows have been entered in show competitions, on a national and international level, and have won important prizes. Presently, part of the milk is sold to the Nestle Corporation. |
